Dear ETA members,
As you know the ETA has a new website and we are working hard to improve the information available on it to members of the ETA.
We envisage including a link for ongoing clinical studies dedicated to the various aspects of thyroid disease, and would like to invite you to contribute to it.
The plan for the clinical study link is to create a forum for all ETA members to:
include patients in ongoing national and international diagnostic and therapeutic trials
facilitate the set-up of multi-centre international studies within the ETA
For this we ask all members wishing to contribute to provide the following information:
title of the study
aim of the study
possibility of national /international recruitment of patients
requirements for recruitment
link/contact address of person in charge
In addition if a novel study is started, the study can be advertised in the clinical study forum. Moreover the clinical study link should be open to exchange of concepts for multicentre ETA studies with the future perspective to e.g. provide help with biomedical aspects of study design, funding etc.
Since we plan to inaugurate the clinical study link on the ETA webpage by mid May, we would need to receive your input by 20. April 2004 at fued@medizin.uni-leipzig.de
