(this replaces the former Henning Prize)

This prize, kindly and generously sponsored by Genzyme is awarded on alternate years at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Thyroid Association to a distinguished member of the ETA. The recipient will be asked to deliver a lecture at the Annual Meeting of the ETA.

1. The prize will be awarded to a scientist who has made outstanding contributions to thyroid research over a considerable period of time.

2. Members of the association will be asked to submit suggestions to the Executive Committee.

3. Candidates for the prize should be proposed and seconded by any two Ordinary or Honorary members of the ETA. The proposers should submit the candidate's curriculum vitae and a short citation (of no more than 500 words) indicating the nature of the candidate's personal contribution to thyroid research to the Secretary of the Association by the deadline for the submission of abstracts for the Annual Meeting of the ETA or as otherwise indicated.
