This platform is also addressed to clinicians and researchers who wish to initiate a cooperation or just exchange information in the field of management of thyroid cancer.
INTEREST:
This year ETA-CRN gives a special focus on preparation of European Comment on the Medullary Thyroid Cancer Management Guidelines of the American Thyroid Association.
European comment on the Medullary Thyroid Cancer Management Guidelines
of the American Thyroid Association
Recently, the American Thyroid Association First Comprehensive Guidelines
for Managing Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma have been published in The Thyroid journal. European Thyroid Association decided to endorse this excellent achievement. As the Guidelines raised significant interest and some comments and remarks related to European practice seem necessary, we would like to devote this year ETA-CRN session in Lisbon, Saturday, September 5th, 2009 exclusively to presentation and discussion of the most important statements.
During the meeting an overview of the ATA Guidelines by Richard Kloos, the President of the ATA Taskforce will be given, and thereafter the discussion of the European comments to the ATA MTC management guidelines is planned.
This discussion will shape the final ETA statement to be prepared until the end
of September.
On this occasion the online debate was organized to enable ETA Members interested with the theme to comment selected topics. You are welcome to visit the forum at www.eta-crn.org and see the current stage of discussion.
We would like to invite all ETA Members interested in the issue of medullary thyroid cancer management to participate in this year 9th ETA-CRN Meeting in Lisbon. We hope you shall find the programme of the meeting interesting.
See you in Lisbon!
