2 ETA Research Starter Grants for young researchers in **low- and lower middle-income countries (LMIC)

Submission Process for all grants commences: 2nd March 2026
Submission Deadline for all grants: 18th May 2026

1. ETA Project Research Grants

Eligibility for Project Research Grant: ETA full members in good standing under the age of 40 (at the date of the close of submissions) and within 5 years of obtaining their research qualification (MD or PhD).

2. ETA Research Starter Grants

Eligibility for Research Starter Grant: ETA Junior members (<35 years at the time of submission) in good standing from low- and lower-middle-income countries - as defined by the World Bank (see: https://datatopics.worldbank.org/world-development-indicators/the-world-by-income-and-region.html).

3. ETA Short-Term Clinical / Basic Research Fellowship Awards

Eligibility for Short-Term Clinical/Basic Research Fellowship Award: Applications should be from clinical thyroidologists or basic scientists who are ETA Junior Members in good-standing. Applicants should be no older than 35 years of age at the time of application and must hold a minimum of 12 months’ ETA Junior Membership.
