Noel Rose has died at the age of 92. Dr. Rose was an immunologist, rather than an endocrinologist, but we are privileged that his pioneering work which led to the discovery of autoimmune diseases was focussed on the thyroid, giving our specialty a central role in the elucidation of these disorders.
