The European Thyroid Association is delighted to announce that the European Thyroid Journal’s 2020 Impact Factor is 4.209. This is the journal’s third Impact Factor, and the result continues to increase year on year. It has now climbed to 66 out of 142 journals in the field of Endocrinology and Metabolism, maintaining its ranking in the second quartile.

The current transition to the open-access model, which the journal is currently undergoing, should further support the Impact Factor in the coming years, as the removal of the paywall from published articles provides more opportunities for citation.

This result is testament to the high quality of authors’ published articles and the dedication of the editorial board and reviewers, who together ensure European Thyroid Journal continues to grow from strength to strength.
